Clay is so fun to play with, and the basics are vital! Learn the building blocks of any good hand-built clay sculpture, beyond the “basic” pinch pot to slabs, coils, and how to create a stable piece. Included in this time slot are spaces for older or more advanced clay artists to make larger/more advanced pieces. At least one piece will be glazed, the rest hand painted.

Alessia O’Brien is a ceramicist and printmaker based in Melrose, MA. Their approach to art is tactile, organic, and fun, with a soft spot for functional work. They graduated from the New Hampshire Institute of Art in 2016, and have been a working artist since.
