This class emphasizes creative problem solving in sculpture, with a focus on design elements that enable imaginations to soar. Beginners will learn the basics of sculpture construction, while advanced artists can make finished products with a focus on formal design, structuring, and surfacing elements. There will be age appropriate emphasis on planning and design.

Alessia O’Brien is a ceramicist and printmaker based in Melrose, MA. Their approach to art is tactile, organic, and fun, with a soft spot for functional work. They graduated from the New Hampshire Institute of Art in 2016, and have been a working artist since.
