Learn how to create a complete idea in one session from a photograph or studio set-up. You may choose to bring acrylic, pastel, or watercolor. Individual attention with critique at the end of class. (If you have older finished work for critique or correction, bring it along.)

  • For all students: Paper towels, and a photo of something you would like to paint.
  • For Acrylics:
  • -Alizarin Crimson
  • -Cadmium Red
  • -Cadmium Yellow Pale
  • -Cadmium Yellow Medium
  • -Ultramarine Blue
  • -Pthalo Blue
  • -Titanium White
  • -Palette Knife
  • -Medium-sized brushes
  • -Canvas or painting surface no larger than 12x16
  • For Watercolor:
  • -Set of assorted colors
  • -Watercolor brushes - fine, medium, and large
  • -Watercolor paper, at least 140 lb - block or loose, 12x16 or under.
  • For Pastel:
  • -Assorted set of colors, soft or hard
  • -White or tinted pastel paper, 12x16 or under.

Eva Cincotta is a native of Malden and resides in Melrose, Massachusetts. She is a graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, and Tufts University. Eva is a full time artist and teacher, besides demonstrations and workshops, she has taught at several local colleges and exhibits in regional galleries. She is member of The North Shore, Rockport Art Associations, and the Malden Sketch Group.
