One of the joys of the springtime is painting the flowers as they bloom. The workshop is designed to show you some tricks on how to compose and paint these flowers. We'll be working with watercolor paints, and this workshop is opened to both beginners and more experienced painters. Following registration, you will receive an email with information, including a materials list. The Zoom Link will be sent to you just prior to the workshop.

Margie Samuels is an experienced watercolor artist and art teacher. Graduating with honors from Brandeis University, she majored in fine arts, then went on to study painting at both the Arts Student League in New York and the New Jersey Center for Visual Arts. Over the years, Samuels has painted with Mitchell Siporin, Elaine DeKooning, Nancy Korde, Tony Van Hasselt, Skip Lawrence, Don Andrews, Mel Stabin and others. Samuels has her own studio in West Caldwell where she teaches classes and workshops. In addition, each summer Samuels teaches a plein air workshop at the InView Center for the Arts, in Landgrove, Vermont. Samuels shows and sells her own paintings through various arts organizations as well as local and out-of-state galleries. She is a Signature Member of the New Jersey Watercolor Society, the Garden State Watercolor Society and the Essex Watercolor Club. She has also won numerous awards for her paintings. Samuels has an impressionistic style with a strong sense of composition; her paintings invite the viewer in through exciting brushwork and color combinations.
