From the big open sky to the smallest ladybug, writing about nature offers a way to better understand ourselves. In this workshop, we will use essays from Aimee Nezhukumatathil’s book, World of Wonders, as inspiration for writing about our relationships with the natural world. We’ll start by reading a few of her short essays. Then you’ll choose an object from nature–a plant or animal or place–that is special to you, and we will write flash essays that explore the relationship between you and that element of nature.

**Participants will have the opportunity to have their finished pieces published in a digital journal for FYACS by our HS team.
