This is a 6 week class starting 9/16, skipping 10/14 for Indigenous People's Day,with a final performance at 4:30 PM on the final day of class. 


Join us for an introduction to acting and improvisation in this fast paced and active class! Students will learn the fundamentals of theatre and acting techniques, explore creative theater games and work as an ensemble while exploring improvisational theatre. This class is perfect for beginners and actors with experience. There will be a showcase at 5:50 on the last day of class.

Butts, Alison
Alison Butts

Ali is a theatre artist working as an actor, scenic painter, and lighting electrician. She holds a B.A in Theater from UMass Amherst. Ali is an alumni of the month-long Summer Training Institute at Shakespeare & Company and is currently training in the Meisner Technique at the Michael Chekhov Actors Studio of Boston. She has worked in the theater education field at Wakefield Repertory Youth Theatre, North Shore Music Theatre, and Broken Leg Productions. Ali has performed locally at Apollinaire Theatre Company, Praxis Stage, Studio Theatre Worcester, The Concord Players, and The Burlington Players. She is looking forward to connecting with the students and exploring together the magic of the theatre arts! Outside of theatre, she works in arts administration- currently as the Administrative Coordinator for Follow Your Art!
