These Virtual Gentle Yoga 5-week yoga classes promotes integration between the body, breath and mind with guided breathing techniques and meditations through standing and laying down yoga postures. Holding gentle yoga postures in the comfort of your own space for several breath cycles will help increase flexibility and strength with ease.
This course meets Thursdays from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Dates: April 22nd, 29th May 6th, 13th & 20th
- This is a virtual course and will be accessible through Microsoft Teams our online non-credit course platform. The link to log into the course will be in the course confirmation email. Please be prepared with the items listed
- below in a comfortable and quiet space, and log in 5 minutes before the course starts so Valerie can begin right on time.
- Having your own slip-resistant yoga mat, 2 yoga blocks and a strap is recommended for stability and proper alignment.
Valerie Bolger
Being passionate about health has led Valerie Bolger to earn her Master’s in Health Education and 200-hour YogaFit Teacher Training. Valerie is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Sports and Exercise Sciences Department and Health and Yoga Teacher for the Office of Continuing Education at SUNY Oneonta. Being born and raised in Central New York has given her an opportunity to live a healthy and positive lifestyle by gardening, hiking, and swimming. She continues her education by participating in a variety of professional development trainings.
