This Virtual Yoga Sculpt 5-week yoga class incorporates a pair of light hand weights between 1lb-3lb and a yoga block with vinyasa style yoga postures to help increase muscular strength, endurance and flexibility while uniting the breath, mind, and body in the comfort of your own space. The weight bearing yoga postures will help reduce the risk of osteoporosis by developing and maintaining strong bones.

This class meets on Thursdays, from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Dates: October 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th, and November 4th

  • This is a virtual course and will be accessible through Microsoft Teams our online non-credit course platform. The link to log into the course will be in the course confirmation email. Please be prepared with the items listed
  • below in a comfortable and quiet space, and log in 5 minutes before the course starts so Valerie can begin right on time.
  • Having your own set of light hand weights, a slip-resistant yoga mat, and 2 yoga blocks are highly recommended for resistance and stability.
Bolger, Valerie

Being passionate about health has led Valerie Bolger to earn her Master’s in Health Education and 200-hour YogaFit Teacher Training. Valerie is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Sports and Exercise Sciences Department and Health and Yoga Teacher for the Office of Continuing Education at SUNY Oneonta. Being born and raised in Central New York has given her an opportunity to live a healthy and positive lifestyle by gardening, hiking, and swimming. She continues her education by participating in a variety of professional development trainings.
