In this 2-night course, we will be creating a new tote bag from an old pair of jeans and an old dress shirt or other garment made from woven fabric (no knits). Create something new, functional, and fun from well-loved favorites, or cut up something that never fit to make it useful! We will discuss making your own pattern, and we will cut and sew a lining and bag from the materials you supply. In this class, we will review the basics of cutting, pinning, and sewing on the machine. We will stitch, turn, press, and topstitch your bag to make a sturdy tote.
