Building a Diverse Work Environment
Workforce Development | Available
From a leadership perspective, we cannot afford to have talented individuals choose to remove themselves from our workforces simply because they feel they don’t belong. Furthermore, we know that employees show higher levels of performance when they feel empowered, supported, and connected. How can leaders create a workplace environment that embraces difference, offers each individual a sense of valued belonging, and can best draw on the talents of everyone?
This interactive workshop poses these questions in the context of the contemporary workplace and places a special emphasis on categories of difference we are likely to encounter. Special emphasis will be given to issues that arise from a multigenerational workplace (we currently have five generations sharing the workforce at the same time!). We will also begin to consider the role of neurodiversity in the workplace.
This workshop is ideal for anyone who holds a leadership position in which they supervise others, or anyone with an interest in leadership or workplace culture. Participants from all disciplines, fields, industries, and sectors, are likely to gain valuable new insights.
