Join the ExCL Center and Worms Waste Not for a FREE Lunch & Learn workshop designed to walk you through the full cycle of composting!

Most food waste starts in our own kitchens - but it doesn't have to end in the trash! This interactive talk will walk you through the full cycle: how to keep food fresh longer, reduce waste at home, and how to turn your food scraps into black gold so we can reduce landfill waste and nourish our local farming and gardening communities.

  • Registration is required.

This workshop will be held in-person and virtually. A link will be sent out prior to the workshop.

Please feel free to bring a lunch or snack with you to enjoy during the workshop!
Rachel Frick Cardelle

Prior to moving to Oneonta, Rachel worked as a community college administrator, overseeing workforce development, adult education, and academic programming in two state prisons. One of the things she came to appreciate about this area very quickly is that what unites all the people of this region is that everyone seems to be 'green.' From the farms to the towns, everyone appreciates the beautiful landscape and fertile agricultural lands. Family farms, beautiful parks, backyard gardens, and wilderness areas abound. When a local food scrap hauling business closed, her daughters encouraged her to start her own business, and after a steep learning curve, she did.
