This introductory class is for those who want to gain confidence in their art skills by painting on canvas. Experimenting with acrylic paint to better understand color, composition and technique. Easy steps will have you achieve results quickly. Learn in a casual atmosphere.

  • Paints  
    Acrylic Paints
    • Titanium white (a large tube) 
    • ?Mars black 
    • Primary yellow 
    • Primary red 
    • Phthalo green 
    • Cerulean blue 
    • Primary blue 
    • Purple 
    • Burnt umber 

    Brushes 

    • Small, medium and large flat brushes with largest being at least 1”  wide 
    • Small, medium and large round brushes 


    Miscellaneous  

    • Canvas boards 16” x 20” or larger knife (trowel-shaped with  rounded tip) 
    • Pencils 
    • kneaded eraser 
    • A smock or old shirt 
    • Rags or paper towels 
    • small empty jars or containers (with lids)
