411 - Wax Carving and Casting - All Levels

Adult Class | Registration opens 2/28/2025 12:01 AM CST

This class is both for beginner and experienced wax students. Learn basic wax carving, casting and mold making. Demonstrations will be guided by students interests. Beginners will complete 1-2 projects. 

  • The Jewelry studio has a dress code, due to the presence of fire, chemicals, sharp objects, and heavy objects the Studio.


    To minimize the risk of injury, all Jewelry students must wear:
    • Closed-toe shoes (no flip-flops or sandals)
    • Pants, leggings, or long shorts 
    • Long sleeve shirts or t-shirts (No crop tops or tank tops)
    • Long hair pulled back

  • Supply fee covers wax and investment during class. Investment and wax for additional projects will need to be purchased from the Jewelry Studio or can be purchased from Rio Grande. Metals are not included in the supply fee and can be purchased from studio or from Rio Grande. Instructor will discuss metal choices and prices on the first day.

    Additional wax and metals can be purchased from Rio Grande.
