Learn basic techniques for working with acrylic paint. Color theory, composition, and paint application are the skills that will help you gain an understanding of Acrylics. Beginners will get step by step instructions to achieve success with their paints and tools.
Acrylic Paints
- Titanium white (a large tube)
- Mars black
- Primary yellow
- Primary red
- Phthalo green
- Cerulean blue
- Primary blue
- Purple
- Burnt umber
Brushes
- Small, medium and large flat brushes with largest being at least 1” wide
- Small, medium and large round brushes
Miscellaneous
- Canvas boards 16” x 20” or larger knife (trowel-shaped with rounded tip)
- Pencils
- Kneaded eraser
- A smock or old shirt
- Rags or paper towels
- Small empty jars or containers (with lids)
