384B - Rock Star Art Album Cover: Painting

In Rock Star Art: Drawing, we studied classic rock album covers. Now is your chance to paint in acrylics, your own personal album cover. Paint yourself as a Rock Star Self Portrait. If you are a musician, use this painting as album cover art. If not, create the album cover you always fantasized about. All students will work on their own individual project with guidance from the instructor. Week one will be creating the layout in drawing form. Then the students have four weeks to finish the painting.
- The instructor will teach this live online class via Zoom. Please download Zoom on the device of your choice and sign up. Computer: www.zoom.us. Phone or Tablet: download the app. The Zoom link and passcode for your class will be in your confirmation letter.
Paints: Golden (recommended) acrylic paints
Colors:
- Titanium White
- Mars Black
- Burnt Sienna
- Napthol Red Light
- Hansa Yellow Medium
- Phthalo Blue (Green Shade)
- Dioxazine Purple -optional
This is the basic color set. Artist can of course add any other paint colors that they would like. And please note that Dioxazine purple is optional.
Brushes:
- 2 small sable brushes
- 1 medium size brush
- 1 large brush.
