Workshop/Orientation on use of DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras
This energetic lecture is designed to introduce people to proper exposure using their cameras. You will learn basic camera operation: an overview of your camera controls, use of your camera’s exposure meter, and a discussion about which lens is the best value.
No camera? No worries! We have cameras to loan for this class. If you are thinking of purchasing a DSLR or Mirrorless Camera, we will help you to understand what to look for so you can make an informed decision.
If you have a new Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) or Mirrorless camera, need a refresher or have never attended a photography class, you should attend this workshop. Or if you are thinking of purchasing a DSLR, Mirrorless or Film (SLR) camera, we will help you to understand what is important and what’s not important in cameras with interchangeable lenses. You will learn basic camera operation: an overview of your camera controls, use of your camera’s exposure meter, and a discussion about which lens is the best value. No worries if you have a film camera because those cameras are covered too. Be sure to bring a camera, as well as your camera manual if you have one.
