408A - Beginning Jewelry

For beginners with no experience and advanced beginners who want to continue learning basic skills. This class will focus on soldering, sawing, forming, texturing of metals, and basic stone setting.
This is a 4-week class. No class on June 19.
The Jewelry studio has a dress code, due to the presence of fire, chemicals, sharp objects, and heavy objects the Studio.
To minimize the risk of injury, all Jewelry students must wear:

- Closed-toe shoes (no flip-flops or sandals)
- Pants, leggings, or long shorts
- Long sleeve shirts or t-shirts (No crop tops or tank tops)
- Long hair pulled back
Supply fee covers silver, bezel, and stone for the first project. Additional materials for can be purchased in the Jewelry Studio or from Rio Grande. Instructor will discuss materials on the first day.
*Silver sheet and wire (if you choose to work in silver) are available for purchase from the Jewelry Studio or Rio Grande.
