Using paint, paper, collage, and the phototransfer technique we will create art the reflects the joy of making art. Techniques include image transfer, layering papers and paint to create an image of depth. This is a four week class ending with one final piece. Participants will develop creative, technical and problem-solving skills using natural and abstract imagery while exploring "Happy Mistakes," and making art for art's sake.
- Images – Xerox copies – black and white recommended – If using text reverse the image (mirror image) words will read backwards if not reversed
- Foam Brushes –2 Inches
- Scotch tape – clear
- Plastic bowls for water
- X-acto knifes
- Cutting boards or cardboard to cut on
- Canvas – 12x12 recommended
- Golden Soft Acrylic Gel Medium - Gloss, 32 oz jar
- Texture sponges
- Metal rulers
- Scissors
- Rubber gloves with texture fingers when doing larger canvas
- Acrylic paint
- Stamps
- Color Tissue
- Magazines
- Stamps and ink (optional)
