336 - Diversity of Soft Pastels
Adult Class | Available
Expand your knowledge of soft pastels with alternating individual instruction from two master pastelists. You will have the opportunity to explore different surface colors and textures, refine compositions with various small studies as well as working from still-life setups in class. There will be demonstrations, critiques, and discussions.
This is an 8-week class. No class September 23.

Foamboards (20 x 30 is a good size 2 recommended )
Clamps- to hold board to easel
Sketchbook
Soft lead pencils
Vine charcoal (soft or medium)
Kneaded eraser and white vinyl eraser
Paper towels-V'rva works best
Masking tape neutral or black
Paper
Sanded pastel paper - UART 400 grit is recommended Hardware store 400 grit sandpaper is good starter
Pastels
Bring any you might have already to the first class. Otherwise instructor can provide some for the first day and will discuss materials in class.
Miscellaneous
Please bring some examples of your work (in any medium) to class.
