370 - The Painter's Studio

Adult Class | Registration opens 11/21/2025 12:00 AM CST

Beginning students will learn the basics of painting with watercolors or acrylics. Advanced painters can explore new methods or work on an existing project. This studio class offers individual instruction with students progressing at their own pace. 


This is an 9-week class starting January 13.

  • Recommended materials for beginning students:
    • Photos to work from
    • Small sketchbook
    • Ebony Pencil
    • Eraser
    • Painting surface (dependent on medium) approximately 9x12"
    • Sponge or rag
    • Paint tray or palette
    • Water container
    • 3 Paint brushes: 1” flat, #8 Round, #2 Round (Sable or Soft white nylon are best)
    Paints: 
    • Ultramarine
    • Cerulean
    • Alizarin Crimson
    • Cadmium Red Light
    • Cadmium Yellow Light
    • Yellow ochre
    • Cadmium Orange
    • Hookers Green
    • Payne’s Grey
    • Burnt Sienna
    • Burnt Umber
