406 - Hammered Link Chain
Workshop | Available
In this workshop, students will learn to wind and cut jump rings, assemble and solder the links, and hammer texture to creade a handmade chain with a clasp. Each student will design and complete a necklace or bracelet by the end of the workshop. There will be a break for lunch halfway through the workshop.
Previous soldering experience recommended.
The Jewelry studio has a dress code, due to the presence of fire, chemicals, sharp objects, and heavy objects the Studio.
To minimize the risk of injury, all Jewelry students must wear:

- Closed-toe shoes (no flip-flops or sandals)
- Pants, leggings, or long shorts
- Long sleeve shirts or t-shirts (No crop tops or tank tops)
- Long hair pulled back
- Silver is not included in tuition price. Students can bring their own silver to work with or purchase silver (6 feet of 18 gauge round wire) from the Jewelry Studio. Cost for silver wire is between $40 and $60 (depending on market value and type of silver).
