Create luminous and eye-catching paintings with the addition of gold or gold leaf. This workshop employs a step-by-step approach to mastering the use of gold leaf and gold media in your artwork, either as a decorative element or integrated hue.
Gold Leaf paint (A top brand is Wadities.)
Gilding Adhesive - (Can purchase Gilding Adhesive set or purchase .)
Make sure to get water based for easier clean up if you do want to use the brush again.
Spray Fixative for relative permanence or Acrylic Gloss Varnish
Brushes: #6 round, #8 round (this is the most important), #10 Flat brush for backgrounds
Multi-media 11 X14 inch or 9 x12 inch sketchbook
(Please bring a book that can handle multi- media as we will be working with materials that are heavier than watercolor. If you have a sketchbook from before that still has unused pages bring that.)
Exacto knife (Suggest bring new blades)
Water container
Mixing surface (take away container or paper plate works as well)
Cloth to wipe brushes
Instructor will supply Gold Leaf.
