351A - Painting Flowers: Color, Shapes, and Expression

This beginner-friendly class introduces adults to painting flowers using watercolor paint in a relaxed and supportive environment. Students will learn basic techniques for mixing color, creating simple organic shapes, and building layers to suggest form and depth without focusing on perfection. The class emphasizes observation, creativity, and enjoyment of the painting process, helping students gain confidence while creating expressive floral artwork. No prior painting experience is required.
- Brushes for watercolor: (Blick Scholastic and Simply Simmons are affordable brands)
- Watercolor Paint (Any set of watercolor paints will work as long as it includes Primary and Secondary colors.)
- Prang 8-Color set is an economical option. Winsor & Newton or Grumbacher brands are good watercolor brands.
- Watercolor Paper Pad (9x12" or 11x14")
- Plastic containers for water
- Paper towels
- Palette for mixing paints (if using Watercolor tubes)
