What happens when a photograph becomes part of the surface instead of sitting on top of it? In this creative class, you will learn how to transfer images onto your canvas. Through layering, painting, and collage, you will create a piece that feels dimensional, expressive, and one-of-a-kind. No perfection needed, the beauty is in the imperfections and happy mistakes.
This is a 4-week class ending May 18.
- Images – Xerox copies – black and white recommended (If using text reverse the image (mirror image) words will read backwards if not reversed)
- Foam Brushes –2 Inches
- Scotch tape – clear
- Plastic bowls for water
- X-acto knife
- Cutting boards or cardboard to cut on
- Canvas – 12x12 recommended
- Golden Soft Acrylic Gel Medium - Gloss, 32 oz jar
- Texture sponges
- Metal ruler
- Scissors
- Rubber gloves with texture fingers when doing larger canvas
- Acrylic paint (Assorted colors)
- Color Tissue
- Magazines
- Stamps and ink (optional)
