391 - Experimental Methods in Drawing and Painting, Ages 16+

Adult Class | Available

This class investigates drawing and painting as methods for creative thinking and experimental image-making. Content includes visual design principles, creative ideation, and support in translating your ideas into artworks in your area of interest, from realistic to abstract. Students will use a variety of materials, including charcoal, pencil, ink, acrylic, collage, markers, and other mixed-media, to experiment with different approaches to image-making. Throughout the class, you will develop conceptual ideas and learn how to integrate them into your work.

This class offers individual instruction, allowing you to progress at your own pace. Foundational techniques, such as composition, proportion, value, and color theory, are covered for beginners, while advanced students can focus on experimenting with new methods or developing an existing project.
