324 - Introduction to Drawing
Adult Class | Registration opens 5/1/2026 12:00 AM CDT
This class introduces students to the fundamental and expressive aspects of drawing in a supportive and engaging environment. Through observational exercises and guided projects, students will learn to see, interpret, and translate subjects into strong visual compositions. Using pencil, charcoal, and ink, the course focuses on line, value, proportion, composition, and mark-making. Students will also explore personal approaches to drawing while building technical skills through subjects such as still life, landscape, portrait, and reference images.
