This class introduces students of all levels to the fundamental and expressive aspects of drawing in a supportive and engaging environment. Through observational exercises and guided projects, students will learn to see, interpret, and translate subjects into strong visual compositions. Using pencil, charcoal, and ink, the course focuses on line, value, proportion, composition, mark-making, and perspective. Students will also explore personal approaches to drawing while building technical skills through subjects such as still life, landscape, portrait, and reference images.

The class offers individual instruction, allowing each student to progress at their own pace. Foundational techniques will be introduced for beginners, while more experienced students can experiment with new approaches or develop ongoing projects.
