409B - Beginning Jewelry

For beginners with no experience and advanced beginners who want to continue learning basic skills. This class will focus on soldering, sawing, forming, texturing of metals, and basic stone setting.
Each student will receive a supply kit with all the materials they need for class.
The Jewelry studio has a dress code, due to the presence of fire, chemicals, sharp objects, and heavy objects the Studio.
To minimize the risk of injury, all Jewelry students must wear:
- Closed-toe shoes (no flip-flops or sandals)
- Pants, leggings, or long shorts
- Long sleeve shirts or t-shirts (No crop tops or tank tops)
- Long hair pulled back
Supply fee covers:

- 20g copper sheet (approx. 3” x 6”)
- 30g brass sheet (approx. 3” x 3” or 3” x 6”)
- 18g copper and brass wire (5 ft bundles)
- Saw blades (2/0 or 4/0)
- Sandpaper (assorted grits)
- Solder sheet (easy, medium, hard — small pre-cut pieces)
- 10g copper wire (approx. 1 ft)
