408 - Beginner to Intermediate Jewelry

For beginners with no experience to intermediate students who want to continue building basic skills. This class will focus on soldering, sawing, forming, texturing of metals, cold connections, coloring metal, finishing, chains, basic stone setting, and more! Expect to create your own unique, one-of-a-kind, jewelry or small collection of jewelry in this class.
This is a 9-week class ending on November 4.
The Jewelry studio has a dress code, due to the presence of fire, chemicals, sharp objects, and heavy objects the Studio.
To minimize the risk of injury, all Jewelry students must wear:

- Closed-toe shoes (no flip-flops or sandals)
- Pants, leggings, or long shorts
- Long sleeve shirts or t-shirts (No crop tops or tank tops)
- Long hair pulled back
- Each student will receive a supply kit. Kit includes:
20 g Copper Sheet (3”X6”)
20 g Brass Sheet (3”X6”)
10 g Copper Wire (1 ft)
18 g Copper and Brass Wire (5ft bundles)
2/0 Saw Blades
Assorted Sandpaper
Wire Solder (Hard, Medium, Easy)
Students may purchase silver through TAC or RioGrande, Instructor will advise.
